Creators and Distribution
![]() |
I've been reading a lot recently about music streaming platforms giving better royalties to artists. You see new music streaming platforms appearing saying that they give better terms to artists and creators.
In the creator economy - whether you create, for example, music, art, books, newsletters, blogs, podcasts, videos, films, web series, events - creators want to be able to:
- Distribute their creations to their audience,
- Earn good royalties from their creations, and
- Keep and control their IP.
There is a tension between creators and distribution platforms like Netflix, YouTube, Spotify, etc. Distribution platforms that give a better overall experience to creators will win.
Let me know what you think.
