Collaboration Economy

Image
Creator economy lets you:   Create your distribution network (personal brand, digital supply chain). Monetize your network. Create your own work/living. Collaborate creatively with other brands.   I think the biggest impact that the creator economy has had is in making it easy for you to collaborate with others. It is really a collaborative economy. I think this is the real effect of where the technology is taking us.   All the social media and other digital platforms have made connecting and collaborating worthwhile.   If you want to grow your brand you really need to collaborate with other people and brands. I guess that this is true for any business. It requires collaboration. A team effort.   Those that figure out how to collaborate with others effectively will win. Thank you for being part of my journey! I hope you enjoyed this content and found it valuable. If you did, don’t forget to subscribe to the channel and...

Online Personal Brand = Distribution Network

Image
You hear a lot about building your personal brand online. It sounds abstract. But I think there is value to it. Your online personal brand isn’t just about perception. It’s about infrastructure. Every time I write, post, or share a thought online, I’m doing more than communicating—I’m reinforcing a system. That system is my distribution network.  It's like I'm building a digital supply chain for ideas, products, services.  And it’s becoming a valuable asset as a solo founder. It's books, social media, podcasts, videos, newsletters, this blog, my website.  I don’t have a marketing team.  No growth hacks. No ad spend. What I do have is a growing network of people who understand what I’m building and why. Not because I pitched to them. But because I’ve built a rhythm of showing up, thinking in public, and sharing ideas that reflect where I actually am in the process. This is where the personal brand becomes more than image.  It becomes reliability—a way for ...

Are We Just Content Now?

Image
Events, films, web series, sports, music, content you post: videos, podcasts, blogs, newsletters, photos, social media posts – all content to be consumed. Distributed through content distribution platforms/channels like Netflix, YouTube, Spotify, social media, etc. – live streamed or on-demand. What made me think about this? Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua match – live on Netflix on 19 Dec’25 . This match will probably break viewing records. This made me try to think about the creator economy and how it works. Platforms like Netflix want content like this. They will help create events like this for their audiences to be consumed on their platforms. See: ‘ Event Assets Driving the Creator Economy ’. Content like this attracts sponsors and advertisers. Influencers posting content about themselves. Affiliate marketers live streaming to their audiences. Are live events just content to be consumed? Is it all about the content creators and the content distribution channels? If you prefer videos...

Creators and Distribution

Image
I've been reading a lot recently about music streaming platforms giving better royalties to artists. You see new music streaming platforms appearing saying that they give better terms to artists and creators. In the creator economy - whether you create, for example, music, art, books, newsletters, blogs, podcasts, videos, films, web series, events - creators want  to be able to:  Distribute their creations to their audience, Earn good royalties from their creations, and Keep and control their IP. There is a tension between creators and distribution platforms like Netflix, YouTube, Spotify, etc. Distribution platforms that give a better overall experience to creators will win. Let me know what you think. Shareyaar (Image: Unsplash)
